Greetings Kindergarten parents!
My name is Bethany Race and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher for the upcoming school year. Your kindergartners will have so much to learn and discover about themselves, each other and the world around them during these next 10 months.
I grew up in LaGrange Park and returned to live in the same town as an adult. My family and I live in Lagrange Park, so you may see me in the area. My husband Jeremy and I have a daughter, Hannah who is 16 years old and a son, Sam who is twelve years old. Normally, they tend to keep me busy outside of school with concerts, theater performances, speech meets, guitar lessons, jui jitsu, scouts, and the list goes on.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and my Master of Art in School Counseling from Concordia University in Chicago. This is my second year teaching at St. Francis, however I have taught preschool for 11 years and I have taught kindergarten for two years in various public and private schools in the Chicagoland area.
This year I hope to build a firm foundation for the many years of schooling that your children have ahead of them and I am honored to facilitate the construction of this journey of learning.
Blessings,
Bethany Race
