Snack
In order to provide a snack time where all children can participate in a safe and inclusive environment and have a healthy mid-morning snack, we have the following guidelines:
A piece of real fruit, a real vegetable, or real cheese.
Lunch
Full day students will need to bring a lunch daily.
The children eat in the room.
Please label your child’s lunch box.
If your child’s lunch requires utensils, please include them. Please try to make sure your child is capable of opening things up on their own.
Recess
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. Example-We will be out when it is 32° outside.
Homework
Monthly practice packets will go home in the beginning of the month - starting in October.
Homework is designed as additional practice with our academic goals.
Star of the week
Each student will get a designated week to be the Star Student. This entails a variety of activities including show and tell, favorite book, and pictures from home to highlight your child.
Birthdays
You are welcome to send us a short video of you reading a book to the class or you can send of video of birthday wishes. As a class we will sing and honor your child.
If you would like to donate a book to the classroom in your child’s name, it would be graciously accepted. Please refrain from sending in gift bags to distribute to the other children.
